The Eastman Story
Founded by musician Qian Ni in 1992, Eastman began as a small operation and has grown into a global leader in instrument making. Ni, a flutist from Beijing and a graduate of Boston University, built the company on a commitment to quality.

Our roots are in traditional lutherie. The same meticulous craftsmanship that goes into our violins, violas, and cellos is applied to our guitars and mandolins. From hand-carved woods to our unique varnishing process, we are dedicated to creating instruments of the highest caliber.
